Remote Summer Program
Taking place in the safety and comfort of home, students are challenged to create their passion project while being fully supported remotely by expert instructors.
About the Program
In order to prioritize the safety and health of our students and staff, we’ve transformed our in-person summer program into an advanced, hands-on, remote learning program. The remote program provides students with the same deliverables as our in-person program, including project-building skills, hands-on circuit-building experience, and functional coding knowledge. Each student selects their project and builds it individually. Projects can be modified for all levels of experience. Students are encouraged to continue building with the parts and tools – either by joining another session or on their own!

Past Student Projects
Similar to our in-person program, students have the option to choose between a wide variety of projects related to their interests and desired skill sets. Below we’ve linked a selection of student portfolios with projects from our program that we plan on offering in the remote program. Our full project book will have about 45 options for base projects that will all be fully customizable with modifications.
FAQ
I was enrolled for the in-person program, do I have to apply again?
Any student already accepted to BlueStamp is accepted to the remote program, we will take care of the paperwork for you and handle any adjustments to your past payments or future invoices.
What does the remote classroom look like?
Students will learn over Zoom and have access to Slack to share images, code, and ask questions. Every day will start as a full group and then split into small breakout groups of 4:1 students/instructors.
When can I start?
Start dates are June 15, July 6, and July 27. Each three week session has three available sessions to sign up.

How many hours is the program?
The program is a total of four hours a day. This consists of 2.5 hours of class time earlier in the day and 1.5 hours of office hours in the afternoons/evenings so students can receive help if they are working outside of class time (something we encourage!).
What is in the project kit?
Each student will receive a project kit with everything they need to complete their project and extra parts for potential modifications. This includes microcontrollers, sensors, motors, breadboards, wires, electrical components, and all necessary tools for soldering and prototyping.
What do I need to participate?
Every student will need to provide their own laptop. These laptops must be able to install software. Chromebooks are ok but we will need to know that you have this computer before you select your project.
What about demo night?
We will have demo night! We are still working out the details but are planning to put together a remote demo night for families, teachers, and mentors to join in.
How will this differ from the in-person program?
We have to limit the project selection from what we typically offer but we are aiming to make the experience as close as possible.
Students will still get to select their own project and design their own modifications, they will still make portfolios for showcasing to college, and we will still have Demo Night!
Can I still do a student-defined project?
No, entire Student Defined Projects are not possible this year, however each student can make major design changes to our offered projects after the base project is complete.
While you will have to choose one of ~30 curated project choices, each project can be customized to the specific interest of the student
