Tatiyona’s Final Project

This is the final version of my project which plays music when a door opens then stops when it is closed. The songs are chosen by random so it will play a different song everytime the door opens. I found another arduino code which helps me make this modification.

Tatiyona’s Final Blog Post

I got introduced to Bluestamp by Dave and Robin coming to my school and giving a presentation. At the end of the presentation I already knew this was what I wanted to do with my summer. In the days leading up to Bluestamp I was very nervous because I had no experience in engineering. On the first day of Bluestamp I thought I was going to fly through the program because I had all of the instructions, but I was in for a rude awakening. When my starter and final projects were finished it would not work and I felt like going to my old ways and giving up. But with help from the instructors I got over my project not working and fixed the problems. When I saw my projects working it was a feeling that is indescribable.

This experience made me realize that you actually have to work hard at what you do. If you do not put in the work you will not get anything done. One thing that I really liked about the program is meeting new people and knowing that they had the same struggles as I did. I knew that I had support from everybody and if I needed help I could ask anybody. I also like the occasional jokes people made. I plan to take the things that I learned with me into my senior year of high school. I have to keep trying hard at what I am doing because now I know it will be worth it. Thank you Dave and Robin for giving me the opportunity to join Bluestamp, and these past 6 weeks have really changed me.

Tatiyona’s Door Theme Music

This is my main project which is a music player that automatically plays music when you open a door. I used Arduino UNO and a SD Card to store the song which was Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe.
