Reflection /Conclusion: I’m really happy with my project I wish I just had more time to modify it and make it sufficient. This program was also very fun, I like the fact of the friendly staff and that when you order something its usually here in the next 2 days. Another good thing about Bluestamp is that they want you to finish by the parents night so then the other days that you are here you can work on modifications.

This is what the finish product looks like and what everything on the design looks like. The Battery we were using was used as a step up to step it up to 5 volts of power instead of what the TEG module was producing which was around 2 volts of power.

Here is a 3D design of my build in Google Sketch-up. The Design for the Usb Charger Powered By Fire Here is my schematic: My Scematic for the Design Hints/Tips: Do not ever put the Hot plate on a very high temperature because if you do then it will melt the solder that is connecting the wires to the TEG module. Try not to make the aluminium bigger than the fan because that is just excess space.

This my first milestone which was to get a 5 volt reading from the TEG module. To get the 5 volt reading I had the fan on the top of the heat sink which takes the heat from the TEG module and then the fan cools it down so then it can take more heat away from the TEG module. In this i used a battery as a step up because the TEG module was outputting 3 volts of power. Since the battery was put in series with the TEG module whatever the battery is producing is added to what the TEG module is producing.

Mohammed's First Milestone - BSE Houston 2014

The Glow Jacket is my actual Starter Project and it is a jacket with some EL (Electroluminescent) wire on it. EL wire is a strand of wire that can receive power and it will light up. This Starter Project took a lot of time mainly sewing the wire on to the jacket, but it also did take a little soldering. The Glow Jacket needs a battery source so I put the a battery into the left pocket which has a brightness setting and a blink speed setting too so I can conserve battery if I need .

Mohammed's Second Starter Project - Houston BSE 2014

The MiniPOV was my first starter project. (The MiniPOV is a device that displays an image if it is spun very fast.) The default pattern is when the LED’s light up in a spatial order, which means that if you spin the MiniPOV in a circle very fast then you can see somewhat of a spiral pattern. The MiniPOV consists of Resistors, diodes, LED’s a battery, a Serial port to program the micro-controller/IC.
